Mute the strings with the bottom of index.  Hold the 9 throughout begining with index
ring finger manipulating the 11.  Keep the other strings muted.

The intro was good, but the rest of the tab was incomplete. The chorus sounded weird too ...

This tab is actually mostly correct just on the chorus the 5-6 chords and the 3-4 should just be A and G respectively, or you could just switch the fret numbers between the two strings.
